A lot of weekends at faire

    Thursday, July 9, 2009, 10:21 PM [General]

Wow, what a run.  It was sooo much fun but WOW it does take it out of you.

I did a 3 day faire with the House of Swindon May 8-10 at Cain's Crossing in Auburn CA.  This was my first time at fire with a guild and it is definitely different.  The days go by just as fast (if not faster).

Next was the 2nd weekend of Valhalla in South Lake Tahoe on June 6-7.  Another great time (we stayed at a hotel within walking distance to faire).  It did rain on Saturday, but it did not bother us, but it did drive out a lot of patrons.  Sunday was sunny and a great day.

We were in Coalinga the next weekend, back with the guild helping a new faire get started.  It small event, but any new faire is a good faire and we always need more faires.

6 days later I helped set up the Vallejo Pirate Festival on Friday, then hung out from opening to closing both Saturday and Sunday. Wenches and rhum make a pirate VERY happy.

Our last event was another feast at the Castello di Amorosa near Calistoga up the Napa Valley.

I have picture from all these events, just have not posted anything yet.  It is on my list of things to do,  but I just need a bit more down time.

    Animated GIF

    Sunday, April 12, 2009, 9:03 AM [General]

I wanted to show more than one pic of me as my profile picture, so I made an animated GIF using 8 shots that were not that bad (IMHO).

I used this free website www.online-image-editor.c...

    I made a 250 x 250 one (which turned out to be 413 KB):

    And a 100 x 100 one (which is only 85 KB):

But alas, renspace does not seem to allow me to use it.  Oh well, it was a fun experiment.  I did manage to add it to my profile area, so not so bad.
